
Susan Remmer Ryzewic, Ph.D. is a dynamic and recognized leader and an analytical, intuitive, and compassionate problem solver, who is respected in her family, her community, and in business and philanthropic communities. Susan is committed to providing guidance to family enterprise leaders, next generation successors, individuals and organizations to help them address and navigate challenging situations, transitions and organizational changes. She actively embraces life, working and playing hard while striving for meaning and excellence and is persistent in the face of adversity.
Susan is the President & CEO of EHR Investments, Inc., her family enterprise and Director of The Remmer Family Foundation. As a Director of the Foundation, she Co-Founded the First Coast Girls Initiative, a coalition of organizations serving girls in Northeast Florida, and is active in advancing its development and growth.
Susan is responsible for the leadership and management of the investment and business operations for her family. She has been a client advisor on the Investment Committee of GenSpring Family Offices, formerly Asset Management Advisors, for over 20 years. Susan has successfully navigated and implemented multiple family, corporate governance and ownership transitions.
Susan is Advisory Faculty Emeritus of the Institute for Private Investors, an educational organization that she has been involved with since May 1992. She has consulted with colleges, families and wealth management organizations on a range of issues. Susan’s contributions to families and private investors have been recognized by industry awards. Prior to joining the family business in 1989, Susan was a Vice President in The Private Bank, Bankers Trust Company. Earlier in her career, Susan spent more than a decade working in education.
Susan is the Immediate Past President of the University of North Florida Foundation (UNFF) Board. Her work with the UNFF was particularly meaningful, enabling her to utilize and integrate the skills and knowledge she developed during her careers in education and investments and couple them with her passion for facilitating change. Susan’s primary focus during her tenure as President of the UNFF Board was to promote the role of board members as Ambassadors for the University. Susan increased the level of board member engagement by encouraging the board committees to review, refine and expand their responsibilities in ways that would enhance the relationships among the committee members, and between the committee members and the University. Susan has served on the Investment Committee throughout her more than a decade commitment, including 3 years serving as the Chair and assuming a leadership role for two searches for outsourced Chief Investment Officers. At the end of her term as President, Susan was awarded the “Presidential Medallion,” the highest award given to volunteers by the University. She continues to serve on the Executive Committee, the Investment Committee and the Committee on Directors.
Volunteer commitments include serving on the Investment Committee of The Community Foundation of Jacksonville, Advocacy and Public Policy Committee of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, Advisory Leadership Council to the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center, and Wellesley College
Susan holds a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from the University of Chicago and a B.A. degree in Sociology from Wellesley College.
Susan lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with her husband, John and has two sons, Mike and Alex. She especially enjoys her role as grandmother to 5 year old Ashlyn. Susan loves traveling, boating, skiing, scuba diving, yoga, and being a purposeful servant leader.

John M. Ryzewic, an experienced business owner and financial analyst, has been involved in international business, primarily in emerging market countries, for 35 years. His primary focus for the past twenty years was on providing high quality, lower cost manufacturing services through numerous businesses based in Costa Rica. His diverse business interests have ranged from contract engineering, to precision machining to manufacturing and processing textiles. He is an avid reader, golfer, fisherman and skier. John holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
